— About Right to Care

Built from inside Lesotho, accountable to its people

We started with community health workers who already knew the terrain, the clinics, and the gaps. The organization grew from that knowledge outward.

About Us

Welcome to RIGHT TO CARE LESOTHO PTY, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to improving the health, dignity, and overall well-being of vulnerable communities throughout Lesotho. Our organization was established with the vision of creating a healthier, stronger, and more empowered society where every individual has access to essential healthcare services, educational opportunities, social support, and the resources needed to live a productive and fulfilling life.

At RIGHT TO CARE LESOTHO PTY, we believe that quality healthcare and community support are fundamental human rights. Our mission is centered on providing compassionate care, strengthening community resilience, and addressing the social and economic challenges that affect disadvantaged individuals and families. We work closely with local communities, healthcare professionals, volunteers, educational institutions, and development partners to design and implement sustainable programs that bring meaningful and lasting change.

Our organization focuses on a wide range of community support services aimed at improving both physical and social well-being. We actively participate in public health awareness campaigns, HIV/AIDS prevention and support initiatives, tuberculosis education, maternal and child wellness programs, youth empowerment projects, and educational support activities. Through these initiatives, we strive to reduce inequalities, increase awareness, and improve access to life-changing services for people living in underserved and rural communities.

RIGHT TO CARE LESOTHO PTY is driven by compassion, integrity, accountability, and community partnership. We understand that many individuals and families face daily challenges related to poverty, unemployment, limited healthcare access, food insecurity, and lack of educational opportunities. Our programs are designed not only to address immediate needs but also to empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, and support systems required to build sustainable futures for themselves and their communities.

We place strong emphasis on prevention, education, and empowerment because we believe that informed communities are stronger communities. Through workshops, outreach campaigns, training sessions, and support groups, we help individuals gain access to important health information, psychosocial support, and practical life skills. We also work to promote mental wellness, emotional support, and social inclusion, especially for vulnerable children, youth, women, and people affected by chronic illnesses.

Our youth development initiatives aim to inspire young people to become future leaders and active contributors within their communities. By providing mentorship opportunities, educational assistance, leadership development programs, and recreational activities, we help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and pursue brighter futures. We believe that investing in youth is essential for the long-term growth and stability of Lesotho.

In addition to healthcare and educational support, RIGHT TO CARE LESOTHO PTY is committed to strengthening community collaboration and encouraging active participation in social development initiatives. We believe that lasting change can only happen when communities are involved in identifying challenges and creating solutions together. Through partnerships and community engagement, we continue to expand our impact and reach more individuals in need of care and support.

Our organization remains dedicated to creating hope, restoring dignity, and improving lives through compassionate service and sustainable development. Every project we undertake is guided by our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities across Lesotho. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on building healthier communities, empowering vulnerable populations, and contributing to a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

At RIGHT TO CARE LESOTHO PTY, we are more than an organization — we are a community of caring individuals working together to create positive and lasting change for present and future generations.

What holds us accountable

Three commitments we measure ourselves against

Clinical rigor, local context

Leadership that stays local

Outcomes, not outputs

Professional health standards applied through the lens of what Lesotho's communities actually face—distance, limited infrastructure, and a history of being overlooked by formal systems.

We track whether clinics keep running, whether trained leaders keep teaching, and whether communities report real change—not how many sessions we delivered or brochures we printed.

Every programme is designed so that community members run it, adapt it, and pass it on. We measure our role by how little the programme needs us to keep going.
